Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) is a commercial Norwegian enterprise with the head office located in Tromsø. KSAT is a world leading provider of satellite ground station and earth observation services with a customer base world-wide. KSAT’s Energy, Environment, and Security division interprets satellite imagery to provide timely information to government and commercial clients – including maritime oil spill and seep detection, vessel tracking and assessment of illegal fishing activity, real-time ice conditions in the arctic ocean, and many other service areas.

International Sales Manager

KSAT’s Energy, Environment Security Division is looking for an experienced professional that will work with sales and business development personnel to help grow our Earth Observation services. This includes promoting our services to new clients and into new geographies, as well as identifying and framing potential new services. Candidates do not need to have an understanding of Remote Sensing, but should have experience in critically evaluating business opportunities and constructing a persuasive message to drive sales. This is a challenging role which requires independence and initiative, flexibility and emotional intelligence. The role requires global travel and the ability to build a network of oil industry executives.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Master’s Degree is mandatory
  • Excellent command of English is mandatory
  • Experience from the Oil&Gas industry is beneficial
  • Experience with remote sensing is beneficial

  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to build good relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfort taking initiative, working independently and a result-oriented mindset
  • Good business understanding and customer mindset
  • Enthusiasm for global travel and spontaneous pursuit of new opportunities
