Thon Hotels is one of the largest hotel chains in Brussels, with more than 1,500 hotel rooms and 46 meeting rooms in five hotels and two apart-hotels. Thon Hotel Kirkenes was opened 3rd May 2010, and is the largest conference hotel in Kirkenes, with 143 modern rooms and a capacity for 300 conference guests. The hotel is located on the quay side in the town centre of Kirkenes with wonderful views of the fjord. We have a fantastic restaurant, and we are strongly engaged in the local community. We have been on TripAdvisors til 25 list of Norways best hotels every year since we opened in 2010. 

Our restaurant has a panorama view over the fjord and serves breakfast, lunsj and dinner. We have a banquet capacity of 300 persons and is the largest conference hotel in town. Kirkenes is a stones throw away from Russia and Finland and can offer most of the activites of a larger city. Sør-Varanger is a border municipality and is preparing for investmenst of several billion Norwegian kroner over the next years.  Norwegian recidents can enjoy reduced loans from the Norwegian Student Grant Scheme, and the Finnmarks tax system will give you less tax. Kirkenes is the centre of the Barents Region.

Kvalifications:

• Fagbrev / Completed apprentice ship
• Previous experience in similar positions

• Has good communication skills
• Has an inbourne "that will be no issue" attitude

• Must be able to communicate in English
• A scandinavian language is an advantage
• Russian is an advantage
